The Unsinkable Spirit by Boris King & Shirley King

Laying in Provisions

From Vancouver it was a short hop to Victoria, where Boris and Shirley laid in provisions for the first leg of their sea adventure. At the marine store they bought charts of distant waters that the store owner scarcely knew he had. At the tackle store they bought fishing gear from a clerk so skeptical that he almost refused to sell them anything.

Finally they were off on their maiden voyage to Hawaii--or so they thought, till storm warnings caused them to pull into Neah Bay, Washington. After three days the storm had passed, Nausikaa III was ready to push out into the open water again. And its crew was about to face the enemy from within: seasickness.
